The Deliverables
A packet of information specific to your child will be emailed to you.
This includes information we discussed in our video chat and a complete list of activities that you can do with your child to build up their self esteem and reading skills.
You will also have the recorded video chat to refer back to when teaching those specific skills.
Cost: $197
It takes 10,000 hours to be considered an "expert" in your field. I have far surpassed this in the reading field:
7 years of teaching in elementary school (approximately 9,450 hours if you do not count the planning or extra time spent on the weekends!)
30 credits towards a Masters in Reading Education (too many hours to count!)
60 clinical hours through the University of Virginia
20 hours spent training preschool teachers and Mothers of Preschoolers
10+ years of tutoring in reading
Combining all of these hours, trainings, your input, and your child’s assessment results into one detailed packet for you for $197.

Who Is Your Personal Reading Consultant?
I’m Kim Creigh, a reading specialist and mom of 3. My first job out of college was teaching fourth grade. I had many struggling readers in my class and I was always researching ways to help them in my classroom. I realized I had not learned how to teach my students how to read in college!
I took matters into my own hands and started taking classes at the University of Virginia. Every class I want to, I learned a new strategy and applied it in my (now) third-grade classroom. This was the year I taught a little boy in my class how to read. He came to me reading on a DRA level 4 and left my third-grade classroom reading on a level 28. Not quite up to benchmark, but much closer than he started!
